This page explains what information Food Hardware collects through this website, why we collect it and how you can control it. It is maintained by Food Hardware and describes our current practices — it is not legal advice.
Contact details you enter yourself — name, business name, email, phone and delivery suburb — when you send a quote request, submit the contact form or create a trade account.
The equipment lines on your quote list or order, so our team can price and supply them accurately.
Basic website analytics such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics.
To prepare quotes, process orders, arrange freight and answer enquiries.
To keep a record of your past quotes and orders inside your trade account so reordering is faster.
To understand which products and pages are useful, so we can improve the catalogue and the website.
Your quote list, saved products and recently viewed items are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Signed-in trade accounts also keep a session token in your browser so you stay logged in between visits.
We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and page performance. It sets cookies and records an anonymised version of your IP address.
You can opt out at any time using your browser's cookie controls or Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect quoting, ordering or account access.
Service providers who make the website and ordering work on our behalf — hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing and analytics — and freight carriers who deliver your order.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for unrelated marketing.
The site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections and trade-account data is protected by per-account access rules, so you can only see your own quotes and orders.
Access to customer records inside our systems is limited to staff who need it to fulfil your order.
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, or ask us to delete your account and its history.
Some records — such as tax invoices — must be retained for the period required by Australian law.
